After everyone had filled up on all kinds of delicious dishes, sparkling
beverages, and were in a mellow mood, three of the Republican party's
leaders, MNGOP Deputy Chair Dorothy Fleming, Nik Ludwig, Chair of the
Minneapolis
City Republican Committee, and SD60 Chair Scott Brooks, spoke about
the November election and on plans for the future of the party.

Eight SD60 volunteers met at MNGOP headquarters in St. Paul on a foggy
Saturday morning to make phone calls to voters in our district letting
them know about the Republican caucuses on February 5th. After this
successful phone bank effort, the gang walked to the state capital for a
tour where Senator David Senjem took us onto the floor of the Senate and
gave us a wonderful talk about the history of that chamber. Of course, all
this made everyone hungry so most of us regrouped at Cossetta's and
refueled.

The enthusiastic, festive mood of all the attendees at our 2007 Holiday
Party made our annual fundraiser a fun and successful event this year.
Maybe the best yet! There was a lot of conversation, even more eating,
topped off by inspiring speeches from Republican Party of Minnesota Deputy
Chair Dorothy Fleming, state Senator David Senjem, and our own SD60 Chair
